Overview
Sr. Vehicle Artist - ExDev role at Ripple Effect Studios. We are looking for a Vehicles Artist - ExDev to oversee the quality and artistic consistency of externally developed vehicle assets. You will guide and assist external developers to ensure they deliver assets that match our fidelity and performance standards. You will report to our Line Director, Art. Hybrid working options within the Vancouver and Los Angeles area are possible.
What You'll Do
- Review and provide feedback on externally created vehicle assets & cosmetics.
- Create briefs and organize packages for external production.
- Finalize assets by making visual and technical adjustments.
- Integrate assets into the game and ensure they look and perform as expected.
- Create content for seasonal releases on a cyclical basis.
- Help coordinate vendor communication to internal team.
- Support external art training and documentation.
What We Are Looking For
- 3 or more years of experience across several game titles with a realistic-looking art direction for vehicles, working with external partners.
- Knowledge of modern hard surface asset workflows, including asset production process, modeling and PBR texturing.
- Experience guiding work from outsource artists or working as one yourself.
- Ability to understand, match, and communicate art styles to external artists.

Compensation And Benefits
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
- PAY RANGES
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) CAD 111,600 - 152,800
- California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) USD 124,100 - 182,800
- Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane) USD 118,700 - 154,100
In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
