Outside Communication Installer - Entry Level at Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc.

Location: Western Slope (Silt, CO Area). Schedule: Monday – Thursday with Fridays as needed. Start Date: As Soon As Possible. Salary: $20/hr - $28/hr depending on experience. Health Insurance and 401K after probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Assists skilled workers as assigned (e.g., demolition, carrying lumber, or construction).
• Operate Mini Excavator and Hydro Excavator, as needed.
• Unload materials (lumber, cement, etc.) and distribute to the appropriate location as identified by supervisor, project plans, or specifications.
• Prepare layout area by properly measuring, marking, or recording openings or distances.
• Prepare tools and materials for skilled workers (e.g., mixing cement or preparing flooring).
• Clean and prepare specific areas of the jobsite; duties may include digging trenches, erecting scaffolding, cleaning debris, or removing hazardous materials.
• Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools.
• Direct traffic near, in, or around work zones.
• Assist equipment operators with alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
• Clean the jobsite at the end of the day and store materials or equipment properly.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions; flexible as assignments change; able to work with a variety of personalities.
• Basic arithmetic skills for counting and inventory.
• Physical requirements: lift and carry up to 80 pounds; push/pull 50-pound loads; stand and walk up to ten hours per day; climb stairs while carrying 40–60 pounds; work in all weather conditions.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.
• Education and Experience: Prior construction or excavator operator experience is desired but not required.
