Salesforce Studios Lead Motion Graphics Editor and Generative AI Video Artist/Specialist

Salesforce is seeking a highly skilled and creative Lead Motion Graphics Editor and Gen AI Artist with advanced Adobe After Effects expertise to join our in-house creative team. This individual will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and animating high-quality motion graphics and visual effects for a variety of digital platforms including customer success videos, product demos, marketing campaigns, social media, internal communications, and corporate events. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of visual storytelling, animation principles, the technical intricacies of After Effects, and advanced skills using Generative AI video creation platforms like Runway, Midjourney, Veo3, and similar tools to deliver visually stunning content that aligns with Salesforce\'s brand guidelines and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualization & Storyboarding: Collaborate closely with creative directors, video producers, video editors, and other stakeholders to develop innovative concepts and visual styles for motion graphics projects.
  • Generative AI Video Creation: Utilize Generative AI platforms as a core tool to rapidly create and augment video content for promos, commercials, and branded campaigns. Focus on prompt engineering and creative direction to produce visually dynamic and compelling content that pushes creative boundaries and accelerates production timelines.
  • Motion Graphics Design & Animation: Design and animate compelling motion graphics using advanced techniques in Adobe After Effects, including: 3D animation integration, advanced compositing and visual effects, kinetic typography, product UI animation and clean up, data visualization and infographic animation, and After Effects template design and creation.
  • Video Editing & Integration: Edit and assemble video footage (primarily in Adobe Premiere Pro) and seamlessly integrate motion graphics elements, ensuring visual consistency, pacing, and flow.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all motion graphics content adheres strictly to Salesforce brand guidelines, maintaining a consistent visual identity across all platforms and projects.
  • Collaboration & Client Relations: Work directly with internal clients and stakeholders to define project scope, manage expectations, and deliver assets that meet specific business objectives.
  • Problem-Solving & Innovation: Proactively identify and solve creative and technical challenges throughout the production pipeline. Stay at the forefront of motion graphics trends, tools, and techniques, continually exploring new ways to enhance visual storytelling and production efficiency.
  • Asset Management: Organize and manage project files, assets, and libraries efficiently to ensure smooth workflows and easy access for future projects.
  • Optimization & Delivery: Optimize motion graphics and video files for various platforms and delivery methods, ensuring high quality and efficient playback.

Key Projects & Deliverables

  • Customer Success Video Motion Graphics: Design and animate dynamic content across the Salesforce UI platform.
  • Product Demos & Feature Explainer Videos: Create animated sequences that simplify and showcase the functionality of new Salesforce products and features.
  • Social Media Campaigns: Develop short-form animated content (e.g., GIFs, animated infographics, and short form videos) for social media channels.
  • Brand & Marketing Videos: Contribute motion graphics elements to high-profile brand films, customer success stories, and marketing campaigns.
  • Motion Graphic Templates: Develop and implement After Effects templates to standardize motion graphics production, ensuring consistency and accelerating delivery across the Salesforce Studios team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Motion Graphics, Animation, Graphic Design, Film, Multimedia Arts, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Motion Graphics Designer/Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing advanced After Effects skills.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects, demonstrating a mastery of its advanced features for animation, visual effects, and compositing.
  • A reel or portfolio of current work demonstrating the use of Generative AI video tools (Runway, Midjourney, Veo3, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing and integration.
  • Strong understanding of design principles (typography, color theory, layout, composition, etc.) and animation principles (timing, spacing, anticipation, etc.).
  • Experience with other Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Proficiency with 3D software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender, or equivalent) for integrating 3D elements into motion graphics.
  • Proven ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging, and visually appealing motion graphics.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, polished work.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A passion for storytelling and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a corporate or tech environment.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce products or the SaaS industry.
  • Experience with scripting or expressions in After Effects for enhanced automation.
  • Knowledge of other industry-standard tools for motion graphics and VFX (e.g., Nuke, DaVinci Resolve, various plugins).
  • Experience with sound design and mixing for motion graphics.
  • Proven experience using Generative AI Video platforms like Runway, Midjourney, Veo3, and similar platforms to create and augment promos, commercials, and branded content.
