Role overview

Salesforce is seeking a highly skilled and creative Lead Motion Graphics Editor and Gen AI Artist with advanced Adobe After Effects expertise to join our in-house creative team. This individual will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and animating high-quality motion graphics and visual effects for a variety of digital platforms including customer success videos, product demos, marketing campaigns, social media, internal communications, and corporate events. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of visual storytelling, animation principles, the technical intricacies of After Effects, and advanced skills using Generative AI video creation platforms like Runway, Midjourney, Veo3, and similar tools to deliver visually stunning content that aligns with Salesforce's brand guidelines and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualization & Storyboarding: Collaborate with creative directors, video producers, editors, and stakeholders to develop innovative concepts and visual styles for motion graphics projects.
• Generative AI Video Creation: Utilize Generative AI platforms to rapidly create and augment video content for promos, commercials, and branded campaigns. Focus on prompt engineering and creative direction to produce visually dynamic content that accelerates production timelines.
• Motion Graphics Design & Animation: Design and animate compelling motion graphics using Adobe After Effects, including:
• Complex keyframe animation and expressions
• 3D animation integration (e.g., Cinema 4D or similar)
• Advanced compositing and visual effects (rotoscoping, tracking, keying, particle systems, etc.)
• Kinetic typography and dynamic text animation
• Product UI animation and clean up
• Data visualization and infographic animation
• After Effects template design and creation

• Video Editing & Integration: Edit and assemble video footage (primarily in Adobe Premiere Pro) and integrate motion graphics elements to ensure visual consistency, pacing, and flow.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure all motion graphics content adheres to Salesforce brand guidelines.
• Collaboration & Client Relations: Work with internal clients and stakeholders to define project scope, manage expectations, and deliver assets that meet business objectives.
• Problem-Solving & Innovation: Identify and solve creative and technical challenges; stay current with motion graphics trends and tools.
• Asset Management: Organize and manage project files, assets, and libraries for smooth workflows.
• Optimization & Delivery: Optimize motion graphics and video files for various platforms and delivery methods.

Key Projects & Deliverables

• Customer Success Video Motion Graphics: Design and animate content within the Salesforce UI platform.
• Product Demos & Feature Explainer Videos: Create animated sequences that showcase product functionality.
• Social Media Campaigns: Develop short-form animated content for social channels.
• Brand & Marketing Videos: Contribute motion graphics elements to brand films and campaigns.
• Motion Graphic Templates: Develop After Effects templates to standardize production and accelerate delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Motion Graphics, Animation, Graphic Design, Film, Multimedia Arts, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Motion Graphics Designer/Editor with a strong After Effects portfolio.
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects and advanced features for animation, visual effects, and compositing.
• A reel or portfolio demonstrating Generative AI video tool usage (Runway, Midjourney, Veo3, etc.).
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing and integration.
• Strong understanding of design and animation principles (typography, color theory, composition, timing, etc.).
• Experience with Illustrator and Photoshop; familiarity with other Adobe Creative Suite apps.
• Proficiency with 3D software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender) for integrating 3D elements.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging motion graphics; strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for storytelling and visual aesthetics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a corporate or tech environment.
• Familiarity with Salesforce products or the SaaS industry.
• Experience with scripting or expressions in After Effects for automation.
• Knowledge of other industry-standard tools (Nuke, DaVinci Resolve, plugins).
• Experience with sound design and mixing for motion graphics.
• Proven experience using Generative AI video platforms to create and augment promos and branded content.
