Position Summary: What you'll do

  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; providing associate recognition; and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve growth potential.
  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; communicating goals; building accountability; identifying improvement opportunities; and promoting continuous learning.
  • Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, listening to associates; touring stores and providing feedback (Tour-to-Teach); collaborating with all levels of staff on store operations, technology, merchandising, and company direction; introducing and leading change efforts; and implementing business solutions with clear expectations.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards; supports customer service initiatives; resolves customer needs and issues; develops action plans to correct deficiencies; and provides process improvement leadership for a high quality customer experience.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures; supports mission, values, ethics and integrity; applies Open Door Policy and provides guidance on executing business processes and practices.
  • Drives financial performance and sales by reviewing P&L statements; assisting in budgeting and forecasting; controlling expenses; ensuring effective merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes; and mitigating shrink to achieve sales and profit goals.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$80,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Some positions may include RPZ pay or complex structure pay based on location and external factors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: 2 years of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific background check and training may be required. For facilities with ammunition or state requirements, a state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must complete job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy, Open Door trainings).

Preferred Qualifications (optional): Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership; experience supervising 5+ direct reports with performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
