Shift schedule:
- 2-2-3 Shift Schedule/hours: Work: Monday & Tuesday – Off: Wednesday & Thursday – Work: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
- Off: Monday & Tuesday – Work: Wednesday & Thursday – Off: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
- 12-hour static shifts (Nights – 6:00pm – 6:00am) (Days – 6:00am – 6:00pm)
Compensation:
- Starting wage up to $23.50 dependent upon experience
- Night shift differential: $2.50
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage assigned production lines and monitor output
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Participate in the training curriculum for extrusion line operations and certification requirements
- Change plastic extrusion machines and set up according to production line changes follow specifications on work orders and inspect products for conformance
- Monitor quality and scrap, maintain equipment upkeep and housekeeping
- Set up plastic extrusion machines (shutdown, start-up, switchovers, order preparation, production)
- Manage raw materials (resin) by keeping the extruder fed
- Maintain teamwork with supervisor and co-workers
- Assist co-workers to expedite changeovers
Safety requirements
- Prioritize safety and health in all activities
- Follow company guidelines and participate in safety processes
- Perform area housekeeping and maintain professionalism
- Identify and report near misses/unsafe conditions promptly
- Produce quality materials for customers
- Maintain production volume and efficiency
- Suggest improvements and troubleshoot mechanical issues with supervisor support
Basic qualifications
- 3+ years in manufacturing, technical field, or engineering
- Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical certification can substitute for up to 3 years of experience
- Ability to use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
- Solid technical/mechanical aptitude
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, pull and lift for a 12-hour shift (lift limit 65 lbs)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

- Stand for long periods on a cement floor; frequently lift up to 65 pounds; climb stairs; work around hot surfaces and rotating equipment
