Shift Schedule & Hours
- 2-2-3 shift pattern with 12-hour shifts (Nights 6:00pm–6:00am; Days 6:00am–6:00pm)
- Work: Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Off: Wednesday, Thursday; Work: Monday, Tuesday; Off: Sunday; (as described in the posting)
Compensation
- Starting wage $23.00 dependent upon experience
- Night shift differential: $2.50
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage assigned production lines in a safe and compliant manner
- Participate in training as an operator learning plastic extrusion line operations and certifications
- Set up extrusion machines, changeover according to work orders, and inspect products for conformance
- Monitor quality, accuracy, and scrap on the line
- Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance as required
- Set up plastic extrusion machines (shutdown, startup, switchovers, and production preparation)
- Maintain resin feed to extruders and manage materials for production
- Collaborate with supervisor and co-workers; assist with changeovers
Safety & Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years in manufacturing, technical field, or engineering
- Associate/bachelor’s degree or relevant technical certification can substitute for up to 3 years of experience
- Ability to use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
- Solid technical/mechanical aptitude
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 65 lbs during a 12-hour shift
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Focus on safety and quality production
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong communication skills; positive attitude and willingness to learn
Physical Work & Environment
- Regularly stand on a cement production floor; frequently reach and handle, lift up to 65 pounds
- Climb stairs; work around hot surfaces and rotating equipment
- Exposure to seasonal temperature changes; vision requirements include near, distance, peripheral, depth perception
