Overview

Library Technical Assistant (Safety) position located at Sierra Conservation Center in Jamestown, Tuolumne County. Position number: 099-234-1318-001.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and evaluate the work of at least two incarcerated library clerks for a minimum of 120 hours per pay period.
• Maintain order, prevent escapes and injuries to people or property; maintain security of work areas and materials; inspect premises for contraband (weapons or illegal drugs).
• Perform duties in accordance with the State Personnel Board classification specification within the Institution\'s Legal or General Library collections, potentially in satellite libraries without continuous active supervision.

Working Conditions

Location: Sierra Conservation Center (SCC), near Jamestown, CA. SCC serves minimum and medium custody incarcerated individuals and manages the Conservation Camp Program. In-office work location; telework not indicated.
