Library & Customer Assistant - WMF2226e

Overview

We are seeking to recruit an energetic and highly motivated individual with great customer service skills to work in our libraries in the Barrow area. The role is varied and requires individuals to be the first point of contact for customers, provide information and deal effectively with enquiries (including IT enquiries) face to face, over the phone, in writing and digitally, and to support a wide range of events and activities for all ages.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for customers.
  • Provide information and handle customer enquiries, including IT queries, across face to face, phone, written and digital channels.
  • Carry out general library duties, assist with building security and basic health & safety tasks.
  • Support a wide range of events and activities for all ages.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Travel within the Barrow and Furness library area (Barrow Library, Askam Library, Dalton Library Link, Ormsgill Library Link, Roose Temporary Library at Barrow Park, Ulverston Library and Walney Library).
