Overview
Define Product Strategy Through UX Research: Lead end-to-end user research and usability testing to directly inform product decisions, identifying critical pain points in the scientific workflow, and uncovering new opportunities for agents and agentic frameworks. Design and Execute Rigorous Usability Studies: Develop and implement a range of user testing methodologies, from contextual inquiries to heuristic evaluations. Operationalize User Feedback: Build and manage a systematic process for gathering, analyzing, and tracking qualitative user feedback over time, helping the team monitor user satisfaction and make data-informed improvements to models, agents, and infrastructure. Uncover Actionable Insights: Analyze qualitative data from user sessions, interviews, and surveys to identify core user behaviors, motivations, and obstacles. Synthesize these findings to reveal what drives user adoption and engagement. Build a User-Testing Infrastructure: Create and maintain reusable testing protocols, participant recruitment pipelines, and insight repositories to elevate the quality and efficiency of user research across the organization. Collaborate Deeply with a Cross-Functional Team: As part of the Foundation Model team, work closely with AI/ML Engineers & Scientists across Client to translate complex user needs from diverse groups across Client include Drug Discovery units and research findings into clear, actionable product direction. Communicate with Clarity and Impact: Synthesize diverse qualitative & quantitative data to provide clear, compelling insights and recommendations. Effectively communicate your findings to both technical and non-technical audiences to drive user-centered decisions around product features and roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end user research and usability testing to inform product decisions and identify opportunities in the scientific workflow.
- Develop and implement a range of usability testing methodologies, from contextual inquiries to heuristic evaluations.
- Build and manage a systematic process for gathering, analyzing, and tracking qualitative user feedback over time.
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to reveal core user behaviors, motivations, and obstacles and translate findings into actionable product direction.
- Create and maintain reusable testing protocols, participant recruitment pipelines, and insight repositories across the organization.
- Collaborate with AI/ML Engineers & Scientists to translate user needs into product direction for diverse teams including Drug Discovery units.
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences to drive user-centered decisions on features and roadmap.
Qualifications
- Bring 3-5 years of experience as a UX researcher and usability tester, preferably with complex, expert-facing systems.
- 3-5 years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research, generative and usability research, longitudinal studies, data analysis, product experimentation, A/B testing, and UX benchmarking.
- Experience with UserTesting, Contentsquare or similar usability testing platforms.
- Experience building and scaling a user research practice, including establishing processes for recruitment, testing, and knowledge management.
- Ability to connect deep user insights to product strategy, roadmap decisions, and business impact.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex, ambiguous qualitative data into clear, actionable themes.
- Ability to tackle ambiguous, high-stakes problems with curiosity about the drug discovery process.
- Clear, empathetic communication with a strategic focus, advocating for the user while understanding technical and business constraints.
- Highly Preferred: Experience with LLM-based applications and standardized protocols like MCP.
- Highly Preferred: Experience working on internal tools with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
