This role is part of a brand-new campus project in Concord, North Carolina, focusing on parenteral (injectable) medications, device assembly, and packaging operations. The project phase includes startup activities to bring the Inspection department into service. After project completion, the role will focus on continuous supply of medicines, safety, quality, and collaboration across functions. Senior and Lead Operators will coordinate daily activities to meet capacity plans and develop the team’s capabilities.

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership on the manufacturing floor ensuring safety, quality, and productivity to maintain reliable product supply.
- Maintain a safe work environment and support health, safety, and environmental (HSE) goals.
- Serve as administrator and technical lead for operations; model adherence to procedures and quality systems and train staff on proper techniques.
- Act as a technical leader for troubleshooting and escalation on the shop floor; administer technical training to ensure operators are trained to perform tasks.
- Operate equipment and perform tasks to meet production schedules; check execution documentation (Electronic Batch Records, SAP, Cleaning Logs).
- Drive departmental objectives including safety improvements, deviation reduction, productivity gains, and training compliance.
- Coordinate daily activities to meet capacity plans and develop team capabilities; participate in continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED; multiple operator levels based on experience and education.
- Effective communication skills (electronic, written, verbal); ability to troubleshoot and triage challenges.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office) and a valid driver\'s license.
- Must pass a vision exam and be free of color blindness; equivalent to 20/20 close vision acuity.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; Lilly does not anticipate visa sponsorship for this position.
Work Requirements
- Pass a fitness for duty physical exam.
- Work 6pm to 6am on a 2-2-3 schedule; overtime as required.
- Wear required safety gear and gown in a cleanroom (Grade C, ISO 8).
Preferred Attributes (Not Required)
- Leadership experience, ability to train and educate team members (Senior/Lead roles).
- STEM degree or certifications; knowledge of CGMPs; experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or food processing industries.
- Experience with automated, semi-automated, or manual inspection; Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release; Lean/Six Sigma; SAP or electronic batch records.
- Experience with highly automated equipment (inspection, packaging, filling, assembly).
