Join to apply for the Operator, Parenteral Visual Inspection (Days) role at BioSpace. Lilly is expanding manufacturing capabilities with a new campus in Concord, North Carolina, and this role supports start-up activities during the project phase and ongoing operations to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality production of parenteral (injectable) medications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership on the manufacturing floor ensuring a high level of safety, quality, and productivity to maintain reliable product supply to patients.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, exemplify safe practices, and support health, safety, and environmental goals.
  • Act as administrator and technical leader for operations; demonstrate knowledge of procedures, quality systems, and training of proper techniques.
  • Operate equipment and perform activities to meet production schedules; troubleshoot and drive key departmental objectives including safety, deviation reduction, productivity, and training compliance.
  • Lead training activities and educate new staff; coordinate daily activities to meet capacity plans during and after project startup.
  • Serve as liaison between operations and support functions; collaborate cross-functionally to ensure continuous supply of medicines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED; several levels open based on experience and education.
  • Effective communication skills (electronic, written, and verbal).
  • Flexibility to troubleshoot and triage challenges; computer proficiency (desktop software, MS Office).
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to pass a vision exam and meet color vision requirements.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Lilly does not anticipate visa sponsorship for this position.
  • Ability to work 6am to 6pm on a 2-2-3 schedule and to wear required safety equipment; work in a cleanroom (Grade C, ISO 8) environment.

Time Commitments and Work Authorization

  • Must pass a fitness for duty physical exam.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.

Compensation and Benefits

Actual compensation will depend on education, experience, skills, and location. The anticipated wage range is $17.30 - $39.06 per hour. Full-time employees are eligible for a company bonus and a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and wellness programs.
