Technical Writer Job at 3dB Labs in Olde West Chester

Overview

3dB Labs is a growing Defense Contractor focusing on Digital Signal Processing Software and Hardware with a diverse customer base. We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our production team as we grow and scale our capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Review video based inputs and transpose to a usable manual
• Translate complex ideas into clear and concise help documentation for proprietary 3dB Labs Software
• Increase document usability by applying design standards to templates and forms
• Partner with experts to gain a deep understanding of the subject matter
• Collaborate with other teams to simplify and visualize information
• Maintain delivery record data files, including receiving, filing, and retaining reproducible items according to contract requirements.
• Maintain a general technical data library.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in professional writing, technical communication, or related field
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, including creating and editing complex documents that use styles and content controls
• Experience in the aerospace or defense industry
• Proficient knowledge of software designed for technical communication (Knowledge of these programs is a plus: Adobe Creative Suite, Markdown, Snagit, Visio)
• Portfolio that demonstrates your ability to develop effective learning materials and technical documentation for various audiences
