3db Labs, Inc. is hiring: Technical Writer in Frankfort

Overview 3dB Labs is a growing Defense Contractor focusing on Digital Signal Processing Software and Hardware with a diverse customer base. We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our production team as we grow and scale our capabilities. The Technical Writer is responsible for taking complex, technical information and translating it into an easily understandable format, per customer guidelines. The Technical Writer will work closely with experienced writers and other internal employees to interpret contractual specifications, engineering drawings, reports, and other data to help produce technical documentation to comply with customer requirements. The Technical Writer interfaces with customer and/or customer’s representatives throughout project, as required. Responsibilities Review video based inputs and transpose to a usable manual Translate complex ideas into clear and concise help documentation for proprietary 3dB Labs Software Increase document usability by applying design standards to templates and forms Partner with experts to gain a deep understanding of the subject matter Collaborate with other teams to simplify and visualize information Maintain delivery record data files, including receiving, filing, and retaining reproducible items according to contract requirements. Maintain a general technical data library. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in professional writing, technical communication, or related field Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, including creating and editing complex documents that use styles and content controls Experience in the aerospace or defense industry Proficient knowledge of software designed for technical communication (Knowledge of these programs is a plus: Adobe Creative Suite, Markdown, Snagit, Visio) Portfolio that demonstrates your ability to develop effective learning materials and technical documentation for various audiences #J-18808-Ljbffr
