Were looking for a creative, strategic, and food-savvy Social Media Coordinator to join our growing marketing team. In this role, youll report to the Director of Social Media and own day-to-day management of our organic social channels, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok. Youll create engaging content that inspires trial, drives in-store traffic, and strengthens brand love across platforms.
This is a highly collaborative role ideal for someone who blends strong visual instincts with sharp storytelling, thrives in a fast-paced CPG environment, and understands how to translate brand and retail moments into compelling digital content.
Key Responsibilities
Build and execute a monthly content calendar that supports brand campaigns, retailer activations, product launches, promotions, and food-centric education
Ideate, create, and curate engaging content including original and user-generated assets that showcases product usage, flavor appeal, and lifestyle moments
Oversee all posting, scheduling, and platform optimization (primarily TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube Shorts)
Actively manage and grow our social community responding to comments, DMs, and building meaningful audience relationships
Identify food, lifestyle, and cultural trends and put a CPG-friendly, Amylu Foods-specific spin on them
Collaborate with the Creative team and agency partners to ensure content is visually compelling and consistent with brand guidelines
Partner with the Marketing and Sales teams to support retail programming, limited-time offers, and seasonal merchandising efforts
Develop clear briefs for design and copy needs and manage feedback to ensure final deliverables meet content and campaign goals
Analyze social performance and provide regular reporting with insights and optimizations
Contribute to influencer strategy identifying potential partners and helping integrate creator content into the social calendar
Monitor platform updates and evolving social features, bringing forward new ideas to keep our brand ahead of the curve
Contribute to paid strategy, copy and content support
Qualifications
2+ years of experience managing brand social media, ideally within food & beverage, wellness, or lifestyle CPG
Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram, including short-form video best practices and platform trends
Strong understanding of Meta Business Suite, Ads Manager, Whitelisting and Boosting
Proven success growing and engaging social communities for consumer brands
Strong eye for aesthetics and storytelling able to shoot and edit short-form content independently when needed
Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to capture a friendly, food-forward brand voice
Passion for food culture, grocery retail, and consumer behavior
Tools & Skills
Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar creative tools
Experience creating content within brand standards including video and imagery
Comfortable being on camera
Experience with social scheduling and analytics platforms ( Later, Sprout, Linktree, Meta Business Suite etc.)
Basic knowledge of influencer marketing strategy and content repurposing
Familiarity with retail calendars and how to translate in-store activity to digital storytelling
$50,000-$65,000 annual salary
Hybrid work schedule with three days on site in Chicago office
