Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing tailored insurance solutions to meet their commercial coverage needs.
- Actively pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, cold calling, networking, and leveraging referrals.
- Provide detailed consultations and assessments of clients' insurance requirements, ensuring they receive appropriate and competitive coverage options.
- Collaborate with underwriters and insurance carriers to negotiate and secure customized policies on behalf of clients.
- Remain informed of market trends, emerging risks, and changes in insurance regulations to provide up-to-date guidance and advice to clients.
- Retain and grow a portfolio of commercial insurance clients by delivering exceptional service and proactively addressing their evolving needs.
- Conduct periodic policy reviews to ensure adequate and accurate coverage for assigned clients.
- Maintain detailed client records and documentation in the agency management system.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and community activities to enhance company visibility and reputation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to achieve team goals and business objectives.
- Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
- Proven experience in commercial insurance sales or a related field, with a strong understanding of commercial insurance products and services.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.
- Skilled in time management and prioritization, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in using insurance agency management systems and digital tools for client management and communication.
- Self-directed and goal-oriented, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
