Overview

Baltimore-area based boat dealer/marina has an opening for a Service Advisor/Writer. This is a full-time, permanent position with some overtime during boating season and no off-season layoff. The SA/W will perform the write-up of repairs and service orders while ensuring timely and accurate completion. The role maintains working relationships with technicians, sales consultants, and parts personnel. Experience with boats, marine parts, motors is not mandatory; our client would consider other industries such as auto, RVs, mobile homes—anything that deals with service and scheduling. Experience in customer service, direct customer contact, and scheduling is imperative. Well-versed computer skills are essential, along with a professional demeanor and effective written/verbal communication. Responsibilities

• Write up repairs and service orders and ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Maintain effective working relationships with technicians, sales consultants, and parts personnel.
• Coordinate service scheduling and communicate with customers throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, direct customer contact, and scheduling.
• Strong computer skills and professional demeanor with effective written and verbal communication.
• Experience with boats or marine parts is not mandatory; willingness to work in a role that deals with service and scheduling across industries is acceptable.
