Position Overview:

The Lighting Designer at Logic Integration will be responsible for designing, documenting, and supporting the implementation of innovative lighting systems for both residential and commercial projects. This role combines strong technical knowledge with creative design ability to enhance the visual appeal, comfort, and efficiency of client spaces.

You will work collaboratively with clients, architects, interior designers, contractors, and the Logic Integration team of AV experts to create customized lighting environments that exceed expectations. From concept through execution, you will ensure that each design balances aesthetics, functionality, and technical precision.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Conceptualization

Develop imaginative and innovative lighting designs that align with client needs, project specifications, and budget constraints.

2. System Integration

Collaborate with our AV integration team to seamlessly incorporate lighting systems into audio-video solutions, ensuring a cohesive and user-friendly experience.

3. Product Selection

Research and select the most suitable lighting fixtures, bulbs, and control systems to meet project requirements while prioritizing energy efficiency and sustainability.

4. Customization

Craft personalized lighting scenes that optimize functionality, atmosphere, and automation, considering elements such as color temperature, intensity, and scheduling.

5. Documentation

Create comprehensive design documentation, including schematics, layouts, fixture layouts, keypad layouts, and lighting panel layouts, to guide installation teams and ensure precise execution.

6. Client Collaboration

Act as a primary point of contact for clients, conducting consultations to understand their preferences, presenting design concepts, and addressing any inquiries or revisions.

7. Quality Assurance

Conduct on-site inspections and quality checks to verify the proper installation and configuration of lighting systems, ensuring alignment with design standards and client expectations.

8. Technical Expertise

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and product innovations in lighting, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

9. Budget Management

Assist in estimating project costs and effectively manage project budgets, delivering cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

Collaboration and Sales Support

In this role, the designer will work closely with the sales team to conceptualize and execute project designs that meet client needs. This position requires excellent communication skills for interpreting client requirements, presenting design concepts, and supporting the sales process with visuals and technical input.

Processes and Responsibilities

1. Sales and Business Development

o Identify and target potential clients in need of lighting solutions, including architects, interior designers, contractors, and property owners.

o Generate leads and build a strong sales pipeline through networking, referrals, and outreach.

o Maintain and grow client relationships to drive sales growth.

2. Product Knowledge

o Stay updated on the latest lighting technologies and industry standards.

o Conduct product demonstrations and presentations showcasing lighting solutions.

3. Needs Assessment

o Work closely with clients to understand lighting requirements, preferences, and budgets.

o Conduct site assessments to tailor solutions.

4. Solution Proposal

o Prepare customized lighting proposals, including product recommendations, cost estimates, and project timelines.

o Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility.

5. Negotiation and Closing

o Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients.

o Maintain accurate records of sales activities and contracts in CRM.

6. Customer Relationship Management

o Provide exceptional service and post-sales support.

o Address client concerns promptly and effectively.

o Promote service contracts for lighting installations.

7. Project Management for Lighting

o Manage fixture layouts, plans, and placement with build teams.

o Collaborate with architects, builders, and designers to align lighting plans.

o Oversee timelines, budgets, and workflows to ensure successful execution.

o Coordinate all. Lighting fixtures, placement, landing, etc with electrical contractor. Logic Integration is not an electrician.

8. Project Planning and Design

o Provide detailed documentation for fixtures, keypads, and lighting panels.

o Develop fixture layouts that optimize aesthetics, functionality, and energy efficiency.

o Design keypad layouts and lighting panel schedules.

o Produce system diagrams and drawings for installation teams.
