About The Position

The Content Writer will support the department’s HR team by writing informative articles relating to HR topics for their knowledge library. The goal is to conduct research, collaborate with teams across the organization, and produce knowledge articles that guide team members’ cases for resolution.

  • Build and maintain the knowledge library and identify opportunities for article creation; conduct regular audits for relevancy and accuracy to ensure quality.
  • Communicate with different groups across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and relevant teams to proactively collect, edit, and create new content in alignment with the HR voice.
  • Conduct research in specific topic areas and properly cite article sources.
  • Keep knowledge articles current.
  • Work with the front line Experience Team to understand and resolve gaps in the knowledge library.
  • Partner with communications teams to ensure knowledge library alignment before publication to team members.
  • Read daily communications from various locations to develop or revise article content.
  • Write, review, and revise knowledge articles to ensure compliance with HR content standards.
  • Support the overall team member experience through clear, consistent, and concise writing.
  • Uphold knowledge article standards in line with copywriting best practices for customer-facing content.
  • Revise articles based on editorial feedback and guidance.
  • Proofread colleagues’ work and identify patterns for improvement in articles and the knowledge library.
  • Contribute to daily standup discussions on best practices for article creation and knowledge library growth.
  • Apply SEO principles so articles are easily discoverable within the knowledge base.
  • Own a portfolio of content categories within the HR knowledge base (e.g., benefits, compensation, policy, career development, payroll, time reporting).
  • Optimize content quality, relevancy, and completeness to support effective problem resolution in each category.
  • Act as a content advisor during periods of change within respective categories.
  • Proactively identify categories needing uplift due to upcoming changes, seasonality, or trends in team member questions.
  • Support onboarding of new SMEs and new categories; maintain quality and integrity of each knowledge base category.
  • Contribute to the growth of HR as a service by improving knowledge processes and platform usability.
  • Participate in discussions with the Experience Team and Product Owner on platform enhancements.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of style guides, onboarding guides, and knowledge library audit guidelines.
  • Stay informed of writing standards to optimize customer-facing content for mobile and chat.

Qualifications / About You

This is what you should possess to be successful in this role:

  • 1-2 years minimum of technical writing experience
  • Manual user-facing content (customer facing)
  • Some journalism experience or storytelling/research background preferred
  • Research background in HR
  • Experience training, creating training materials; knowledge of SEO; current team uses ServiceNow
  • Writing samples (links included in resumes)
  • Business/academic writing experience
  • Passion for grammar; strong team attitude
  • Excellent research and analytical skills; storytelling abilities
  • Interest in writing HR-focused articles
  • Ability to support on-site
  • Fluency in English; legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future
