Key Responsibilities

• Oversee $1.5-$2M in account revenue as most senior, strategic client counsel
• Consistently produce a coherent strategy for clients and projects
• Work with top executives at leading technology companies as a trusted counselor and advisor
• Own and drive a cornerstone in the agency (excellent careers, superb client service, strong financials, improved operations and tools)
• Generate business revenue within existing clients by expanding scope of work or offering new services
• Identify and lead pitches to bring in new clients with growth goals tied to salary
• Collaborate with integrated teams to provide seamless multi-channel solutions across PR, digital and social media
• Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
• Manage, mentor and develop staff with a collaborative approach
• Monitor performance, set objectives, and conduct annual reviews
• Represent Highwire and key clients at industry events and conferences
• Service clients profitably while monitoring staff billability, client needs, and resource load

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field
• Minimum 15 years in communications (in-house or agency) with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity
• Proven ability to build relationships with reporters and editors and secure high-impact placements
• Extensive writing and editing experience for a variety of print and online media
• Experience with social media influencer engagement, content campaigns, and media coverage amplification
• Leadership in managing a comprehensive strategic communications and marketing program
• Innovative thinker with a track record of turning strategy into action
• Experience building, managing, mentoring, and coaching a team of communications professionals
• Strong judgment and creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs
• Experience setting up measurement programs and ROI for communications activities
