Location: Arlington, VirginiaJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $60 - 70 per hourWe're seeking a skilled and independent Video Engineer to join our client's team in the Washington, D.C. area. This is a part-time position, requiring approximately 100 hours per month, with an expected 90% on-site presence for live events and studio work, and 10% remote work for meetings and planning.You will play a crucial role in our live events and various video projects, combining your technical expertise with hands-on production skills. We're looking for someone who can thrive in a lean team environment and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision. Responsibilities:Manage Live Productions: Lead the technical side of 10-15 live broadcast events per year.Operate and Maintain Equipment: Handle the setup, operation, and maintenance of a wide range of broadcast equipment, including cameras, projectors, and switches.Real-Time Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues during live productions to ensure a seamless broadcast.Control Room Operations: Independently manage and oversee studio and control room equipment and systems.System Improvements: Analyze technical data and logs to recommend and implement system improvements.Qualifications:Extensive experience with operating and maintaining professional broadcast equipment.Deep proficiency with production systems, including cameras, projectors, and video switches.Proven ability to manage control room operations independently.Strong troubleshooting skills and a technical mindset.Ability to work effectively in a lean, fast-paced team environment.
