Location: Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $55 - 58 per hourWe're looking for a skilled UI/Visual Designer to play a key role in designing customer-facing products and services for a global media and technology client. You'll help shape products around user needs, creating engaging and intuitive interfaces that drive sales.Working with Creative Directors, sales, marketing, brand, and engineering teams, you'll help deliver digital applications with outstanding user experiences and elegant design. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment, has an obsessive attention to detail, and can manage multiple projects at once.Responsibilities:Take charge of the user interface, identifying problems, proposing solutions, and executing on UI enhancements to improve the user experience.Create pixel-perfect, world-class user interfaces and unique, visually striking designs.Deliver high-quality work on tight schedules within a dynamic, agile product environment.Produce interactive prototypes for internal testing and user studies, and rigorously test UI with a data-driven approach.Demonstrate a deep command of usability and accessibility standards alongside visual and interface design principles.Leverage broad experience and a deep understanding of users to recommend UI features that effectively solve customer needs.Write clear style guides and design specifications with a focus on ease of engineering implementation.Support, communicate, and course-correct through the development phase.Maintain a critical eye and an obsessive attention to detail.Qualifications:A portfolio that features several recent e-commerce designs is required for consideration. Mobile site and/or tablet app designs are a plus.Minimum of 5-8 years of UI and visual design experience on a digital agency or product team.Experience leading the development of comprehensive and versatile digital design systems.Significant experience in iconography, symbol design, and data visualization.Expert typesetting and typographic design skills.Deep knowledge of cross-platform web/mobile usability standards and UI specifications.Understanding of the design and technical capabilities/limitations of leading email and browser technologies.Skilled in taking a project from an exploratory and conceptual version all the way to final production assets.Proven ability to manage and execute multiple parallel projects.Strong ability to collaborate with copywriters and business stakeholders to ensure successful marketing launches.
