MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Writer to join our team in Doral, FL.


Responsibilities



  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of foundational technical documentation, such as user manuals and release notes, under the direct guidance of senior staff.

  • Focuses on translating complex technical information into clear, user-friendly content, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

  • Contributes to the organization of information within content management systems and adheres to established style guidelines.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure documentation aligns with project goals.

  • Learns and applies industry best practices, receives mentorship to develop skills and understanding of technical writing principles, and adheres to strict deadlines and organizational standards.


Minimum Qualifications



  • BA/BS in field necessary to assume Technical Writer duties or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree

  • Proficiency in using documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems.

  • Experience effectively communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.


Desired Qualifications



  • One year of experience in technical writing, preferably in the IT industry.

  • Experience supporting DoD programs. Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or other IT Service Management Frameworks. Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).

  • Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.


Clearance Requirements



  • Must have an active Secret clearance.


Physical Requirements



  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
