John Wood Community College is hiring: Part-Time Library Assistant in Quincy

Overview

This is a flexible, part-time, non-exempt position that supports Library Services and is located at the main campus in Quincy, Illinois. Position begins immediately.

Responsibilities

• Provide general coverage during evening hours for the library and other services in the Academic Support Center.
• Perform library duties including circulation, use of the library's electronic resources, and basic computer support.
• Use the automated circulation system to register new patrons, check materials in and out, edit patron records, and provide support for the interlibrary loan service.
• Utilize computer skills such as Microsoft Office applications, printers, accessing the learning management system, saving documents, and attaching files to emails.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is recommended; an associate degree or LTA (Library Technical Assistant) is preferred.
• Strong patron service and computer skills are required.

Salary

Salary range begins at $15.00 per hour.
