Salary Range: $96,000 - $125,000*
Role: Manager, PR & Celebrity
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of PR professionals to create and drive press initiatives that elevate the company’s profile through strategic media relations, earned coverage, thought leadership, brand partnerships and more.
- Lead and execute high-impact press campaigns, create influential press and key messaging materials, and drive external brand awareness while improving internal efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with top-tier editors across traditional and new media channels to secure media results that align with brand goals.
- Assist the PR team with support for company executives at high-profile events, ideate and contract buzzy A-list talent for select initiatives, and more.
Responsibilities
- Support creation of media strategies for initiatives including capsule collections, seasonal campaigns, special events, celebrity partnerships, and digital initiatives.
- Create press releases, media alerts, executive bios, quotes, pitches; manage media lists and invite lists during planning phases; pitch and secure media as needed.
- Oversee PR planning and secure press results for events (some evenings and weekends required) and support senior executives at high-profile events.
- Ideate and forecast strategic celebrity talent opportunities; assist with contracting celebrity talent for select opportunities.
- Leverage relationships with media across fashion, lifestyle, entertainment and more to identify opportunities and craft compelling media storytelling angles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on brand partnerships, social media, events, and creative campaigns.
- Oversee press and celebrity budgets, with monthly and quarterly recommendations based on forecasts.
- Manage team media monitoring and reporting for key brand launches and Saks Global initiatives; analyze results to inform future strategy.
- Manage internal reports and newsletter updates communicating PR outreach and results.
What You Will Bring
- Required Qualifications: Experience pitching top-tier press and securing high-impact coverage; experience staffing a press interview, media event or live forum with a brand spokesperson; strong PR team leadership and a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PR monitoring tools (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack); Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations or related field; well-connected across fashion, lifestyle, consumer and entertainment media; minimum five years in PR (agency or in-house); exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively and independently; excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills; ability to work evenings/weekends as required; comfortable working up to 4 days a week in the Brookfield Place (NYC) offices.
