Key Responsibilities

• Media/Influencer relations and proactive pitches to generate coverage
• Maintain strong relationships with key media across business and tech industries
• Identify new media opportunities and share with teams
• Coach junior staff to improve team dynamics
• Engage with social media channels to support efforts
• Measure ROI of communications activities
• Manage client relationships and projects from concept through execution
• Monitor competitors and flag opportunities for commentary
• Lead client PR calls and provide counsel on media opportunities even under challenging circumstances
• Develop quarterly campaigns and PR plans including trends, thought leadership topics
• Own key elements of the PR program (analysts, speaking, content, etc.)
• Develop budgets and allocate team priorities
• Participate in media training sessions with clients
• Write and edit plans, press releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, biographies and related materials
• Support agency operations, new business research and pitches
• Lead networking and attend events; mentor junior staff
• Set quarterly goals with management and track progress
• Prioritize responsibilities by impact and timelines; drive projects forward independently
• Ensure timely client communications and high-quality pitches

Qualifications (Implied)

• 3-5 years in an agency or startup environment with cybersecurity or tech PR experience
• Strong writing, influencer engagement, and media relations skills
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns, budgets and client relationships
• Comfort with fast-paced environments and proactive idea generation
