Public Relations Senior Account Executive (Cybersecurity) at Highwire. Key Responsibilities

• Media/Influencer Relations
• Maintain strong relationships with more than ten key media across business and tech industries
• Identify new media and opportunities for clients and share with teams across the agency
• Regular proactive pitches that generate coverage for the team
• Coach junior staff to improve team relationships
• Utilize social media channels to engage and support PR efforts
• Measure the ROI of communications activities
• Engage with influencers, content campaigns, and media coverage amplification
• Client service/management: manage projects from concept through execution
• Monitor competitors and flag opportunities and news events for commentary
• Lead client PR calls and advise on media opportunities under challenging circumstances
• Develop quarterly campaigns and PR plans, including campaigns, trendscapes, and thought leadership topics
• Own key elements of the PR program (analysts, speaking, content, etc.)
• Be a go-to resource for client contact; develop budgets and team priorities
• Participate in media training sessions with clients
• Writing proficiencies: generate and edit plans, press releases, fact sheets, bios, speaking abstracts, pitches, and related materials
• Develop consistent, creative, successful pitches
• Agency operations: participate in new business processes and attend events
• Attend networking events and encourage others to attend
• Maintain a respectful, enthusiastic, and professional attitude; mentor junior staff
• Self-development: set quarterly goals and track progress; prioritize responsibilities by impact and timelines
• Drive projects forward independently and meet deadlines
• Identify areas for self-improvement and communicate solutions
• Support teams and manage up and down; promote flexible work policies
• Write for Highwire blog and use Highwire social channels

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in an agency or startup with involvement in innovative campaigns
• Exceptional writing skills and ability to lead and motivate teams
• Strong influencer and media relations background in cybersecurity or tech sectors
• Ability to develop and implement PR plans and campaigns from concept to execution
• Experience measuring ROI of communications activities
• Excellent client service and project management capabilities
