Job Title: Studio Student Assistant, Drawing and Painting - Federal Work Study

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Visual Arts department on the Gainesville campus. The Drawing and Painting Studio Assistant will help maintain a clean, safe, and functioning space for the Drawing and Painting areas and may serve, at times, as an open studio monitor. The position involves approximately 10 hours per week, with schedules made around class schedules and availability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the studio.
• Report items in need of repair; assist with painting/prepping surfaces.
• Hang artwork for display; assist with supply management/inventory.
• Serve as an open studio monitor as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Visual Arts; familiarity with drawing and painting studios, equipment, and supplies. Organization.

Required Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.

Preferred Qualifications

• The preferred applicant is a student with a background and interest in visual arts.
