Position: UI/UX Designer

Responsibilities

  1. Design UX ecommerce platforms, with a focus on optimizing user journeys for conversion.
  2. Create high-fidelity mockups and prototypes by expertly using both Figma and Axure, incorporating advanced features such as component libraries, complex interactions, and design systems to enhance design quality and functionality.
  3. Build, manage, and scale comprehensive design systems in Figma and Axure, including use of tools such as component libraries, complex interactions, and design systems, ensuring high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.
  4. Create detailed, annotated wireframes and develop interactive prototypes to effectively demonstrate complex workflows.
  5. Work closely with stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to gather requirements and feedback, to quickly execute rapid design iterations.
  6. Research using quantitative and qualitative methods, including A/B testing, web analytics, user interviews, surveys, and participant observation.
  7. Identify opportunities to adapt design approaches to accommodate diverse cultural perspectives and varying user behaviors globally, leveraging experience gained from working in a multinational environment.
  8. Position is based out of Chandler, AZ HQ but telecommuting and remote work locations are permitted on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications

Education Requirements: Bachelors degree in Industrial Design, Industrial Design and Design Management, Computer Science, or closely related. Employer will accept advance degree if in the same field.

Experience Requirements: 24 months of experience in job offered, or closely related.

Special skills requirements:

  1. Design low fidelity to high-fidelity prototypes using Figma, emphasizing the integration of the client's design system to ensure consistency and clarity.
  2. Help build detailed user journey maps and user flows to visualize user interactions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  3. Responsible for performing secondary and primary research, such as competitive mapping, benchmarking, observation mapping, interviews, surveys, user journey mapping, persona development, and user flow creation to build a thorough understanding of user needs.
  4. Design User Journey Maps, Competitive Analysis, Sitemaps, and Personas to steer design choices, focusing on user-centered results.
  5. Familiar with HTML & CSS to facilitate more transparent communication with the development team during implementation.
  6. Utilize Jira and Confluence to manage project timelines and ensure smooth collaboration in an agile environment.
  7. Use Axure for wireframing and prototyping and Adobe Creative Suite for visual design tasks to create cohesive and user-friendly website interfaces.
  8. Ecommerce work experience as a UI/UX Designer.

Compensation and Schedule

Salary: Available upon request

Work Schedule: 40 hours/week
