Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute end-to-end research projects aligned with product and business goals, informed by cultural, societal, and market trends.

  • Participate in design critiques, team rituals, and workshops to embed user insights in decision-making.

Team & Culture

  • Propose and implement new tools, methods, and workflows to improve how we work.
  • Cultivate a research culture that is inclusive, innovative, and insight-driven.
  • Share external inspiration—books, articles, podcasts, field trips—that broaden our collective perspective.
  • Promote research value and evangelize the role of design research within product teams and across the organization.
  • Proactively identify where research can add value to current and future product strategies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on UX / design research experience in applied settings.
  • Proficient in a broad range of research methods (generative, evaluative, qualitative, and quantitative).
  • Define the research roadmap based on business priorities and stakeholder needs.
  • Extensive experience with Qualtrics, including advanced features.
  • Demonstrable expertise in data visualization for business presentations and storytelling.
  • Nurture close working relationships with leadership: business, design, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Be the representative voice of UX research in high-profile cross-functional meetings; present to cross-functional leadership.
  • Seek feedback from manager and continuously focus on improvement.
  • Lead innovation in process, tools, and methodologies; collaborate with other UX researchers and mentor on projects.
  • Autonomous in conducting own research with or without partnerships; lead medium-sized projects end-to-end.
  • Design large-scale surveys and analyze them, with solid design of experiments and statistical expertise, including Qualtrics features.
  • Design, moderate, and analyze qualitative and mixed-method studies (e.g., interviews), remotely and in-person, with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Work with vendors and conduct participant recruiting and compensation as needed; complete report writing with actionable recommendations and strong visualizations.
  • Bonus: background in service or hospitality-related research; experience in global, multicultural contexts.
