Overview

Strategic Partner Development Senior Associate, Video Distributor Partnerships at Google. This role focuses on managing ad infrastructure and programmatic ad inventory partnerships with strategic video partners to foster development of the CTV ecosystem, identify areas for joint innovation, and grow partnerships. You will lead and collaborate with account teams on strategic direction for partner accounts, drive growth opportunities, and align internal stakeholders to execute on account priorities. You will build long-lasting relationships with senior executives and operational leads at TV OEMs and partners while monitoring trends in the pay TV and streaming industry to help shape the team’s strategy and renew existing partnerships to manage cross-Google agreements and upscale opportunities.

Location note: This role may be located in Playa Vista, CA, or other specified locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop cross-product area strategic partner initiatives and build go-to-market strategies to meet broader Google goals across rapidly changing industries.
  • Ideate and drive complex deals with potential partners, renewals/expansions for existing partners, and build consensus with internal and external executives.
  • Understand the full scope of partner monetization and ad serving, including inventory trends, channel priorities, competitors, and how ad monetization fits into larger business strategy.
  • Develop renewal and product promotion strategies, discuss term sheets, manage internal approvals processes, discuss agreements and compliance processes.
  • Collaborate with technical and monetization specialist teams to manage and grow business, product adoption, and relationships with Connected TV (CTV) distributor partners.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in industries such as Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology.
  • 3 years of experience in enterprise sales, account management, strategy, or business development in a cable/satellite/telecommunications (telco) operator or Connected TV (CTV) video company.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functional collaboration across levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s degree.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Understanding of the CTV and payTV industry, key platforms and trends (e.g., CTV/OTT distribution, payTV unbundling, rebundling of streaming services) and online advertising ecosystem (e.g., ad serving, ad exchanges, programmatic advertising).
  • Ability to discuss agreements, interpret legal documents, and work with attorneys to complete agreements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex business opportunities across product areas.

The Global Partnerships team works with partners to power user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments, and more, creating product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies, and incubating business growth for various products.

Compensation

US base salary range for this full-time position is $106,000-$153,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location; your recruiter can share more about the specific range for your location during the hiring process.
