Work Location: Onsite at 1555 W Ogden Ave., Naperville, IL 60540, USA

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• Develop clear and concise operational instructions for process manuals and other documents.
• Collaborate with Core team (operators/union members), safety team, engineers and product managers to understand product specifications and requirements.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear and accurate instructions.
• Conduct interviews with and observe work performed by various user groups (Operators/Union employees) to gather data for documentation (start-up/shutdown/changeovers, etc.).
• Gather photographs and other media to enhance and provide visual clarification of documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in training or an equivalent combination of education and experience, or technical writing degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a technical writer or service writer (food industry or related).
• Solid technical writing skills, including the ability to research and document functionality, protocols, and processes.
• Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading and editing skills, with strong verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver clear documentation for non-technical audiences.
