Overview
The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing - Website will lead the continued growth and evolution of MSF-USAs web properties, including SEO and CRO to drive fundraising, communications, and advocacy goals. The role provides strategic direction to maintain and optimize the www.doctorswithoutborders.org website through web design and development that improves performance and enhances the user experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and execution for MSF-USAs website, with a focus on user experience, performance, and conversions to support fundraising, communications, and advocacy goals.
- Manage agile software development processes and collaborate with design services and technical roles involved in an agile workstream (project management, product management, UX design, visual design, front-end and back-end development, QA testing).
- Direct a small internal team and external partners (website development, CRO, SEO, analytics) to deliver high-impact digital initiatives.
- Work in close partnership with the Editorial Director and the Communications Department to align digital activities with organizational goals.
Department Accountabilities
- Prospecting identify strategic opportunities in coherence with MSF-USAs strategy to create long-term value and develop new donor segments.
- Donor Cultivation, Engagement and Management design, develop, and deliver the donor engagement strategy and foster relationships across channels and personal interactions.
- Fundraising secure reliable, sustainable resources aligned with MSF-US commitments.
- Brand Positioning drive awareness and consideration through brand strategy and plans.
- Best-in-Class Fundraising Systems And Capabilities deploy and champion advanced technological systems to enhance fundraising impact.
Roles Specific Outcomes
- Leadership and Direction communicate a localized action plan aligned with MSFs mission and values; motivate teams to achieve results.
- Digital Marketing Strategy and Roadmap develop components of the digital marketing strategy and roadmap aligned with customer needs and business goals.
- Digital Channels and Technology Management maintain and enhance digital channels, operations, and functionality with emphasis on collaboration, user experience, and continuous improvement.
- Digital Marketing Capabilities explore opportunities and support capability-building initiatives in the digital marketing roadmap.
- Budgeting manage department budgets and resource allocation.
- Internal Client Relationship Management partner with internal clients, mobilize resources, and support business strategy.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of website management experience, including at least 3 years in digital marketing strategy.
- Experience in website development project planning and strategic planning; UX design best practices and usability testing; responsive design, web accessibility, and SEO.
- Strong knowledge of Google tools (Analytics, etc.).
- Knowledge of common CMS (e.g., Drupal) and front-end/back-end technologies (PHP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience managing agile software development processes.
Travel
Must be willing to travel for work as needed.
Location
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid). This role is based in our New York office. We are unable to support this position in DC or California offices at this time.
Compensation
$101,769 $152,653; Compensation is aligned with MSF-USAs framework and determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
