New Hampton Community Church is prayerfully seeking an Associate Pastor for the primary roles of Music Director/Worship Leader and to lead the Children’s and Family Ministry. We have combined two part-time Director positions into a 30-40 hour per week Associate Pastor role. Located in beautiful New Hampton, NH, situated between Newfound Lake and Lake Winnipesaukee in the Lakes region of NH.

Job Description
To provide leadership in developing and implementing the music ministry of New Hampton Community Church, to actively promote congregational participation in worship through music, and to lead the Children’s and Family Ministry (including Sunday School).
Spiritual and Personal Qualifications
- Have a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
- Accept the Bible as the inspired Word of God, serving as our ultimate guide for faith and life.
- Be a person of integrity and Christian character.
- Accept, practice, and promote the doctrinal standards, ordinances, and polity of New Hampton Community Church.
- Be committed to ministry in the church and serve with a servant’s attitude.
- Be a musician with experience in music leadership, proficient (preferably) at keyboard or guitar.
- Enjoy working with people, especially children and youth.
- Maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude, be flexible, teachable, and exhibit a servant heart.
- Be self-disciplined, self-motivated, and willing to put in the effort to achieve excellence in ministry.
- Possess experience, training, and expertise in music, worship, and Christian education.
- Set a good example in personal, spiritual, and family life.
Areas of Responsibility
- Plan and implement music for all worship services and special events.
- Schedule and oversee musicians and singers for services and rehearsals.
- Collaborate with the IT team to incorporate multimedia into worship.
- Lead congregational singing to encourage participation.
- Communicate effectively with musicians, singers, IT team, and office staff regarding worship and music matters.
- Manage Sunday School classes, including recruiting teachers and assisting with curriculum.
- Lead Vacation Bible School annually.
- Assist the Youth Director with programs and ministry.
- Recruit and develop singers and musicians for the worship team.
- Attend bi-monthly Deacons and monthly Elders meetings.
- Complete bi-monthly reports on music and Christian education.
- Serve as the church’s Music Librarian—manage music resources.
- Recommend maintenance and purchases of musical instruments and supplies.
- Maintain licensing subscriptions (e.g., CCLI) for legal music use.
- Prepare annual budgets for music/worship and Christian education, in cooperation with the church leadership.
Accountability
- Work under the supervision of the Lead Pastor, in cooperation with the Music/Worship and Children & Family Ministries Committees, with ultimate accountability to the Lead Pastor.
- Meet regularly with the Lead Pastor for planning and prayer.
- Undergo performance reviews at three, six, and twelve months, then annually.
- Be present at Sunday morning services, with flexibility for time off in coordination with the Lead Pastor.
Terms of Employment
Hours: 30-40 hours/week, primarily at the church. Personal time requests require prior approval.
Salary: $30,000–$40,000 annually, reviewed yearly with potential increases effective January 1.
Benefits: Flexible schedule.
Termination: By church or staff member.
Supervision: Directly accountable to the Lead Pastor.
