Physical (Outdoor) Substation Designer
Mesa seeks a Physical Substation Designer who will be responsible for the design of deliverables associated with substation Physical design projects. Assigned tasks will include the creation and revision of General Arrangements, Elevations and Sections, Grounding layouts, Conduit and Cable schedules, and Bill of Materials using AutoCAD & Inventor (3D modeling).
Responsibilities
- Work under & alongside experienced engineer
- Utilize AutoCAD & Inventor to create assigned deliverables
- Meet customer's schedule and budget requirements
- Perform Physical design with high degree of accuracy
- Willingness to travel and work occasional overtime as needed
- Perform careful self checking activities to ensure the quality of work before it is presented to senior design reviewers

Less than 3 years: Previous work experience relating to the design or construction of electrical substations is preferred but not required.
