Nature & Purpose Of Position
To perform technical work as required with lights, sound, video and audio recording equipment for music concerts and recitals; setup/teardown of stage for concerts and recitals; stage managing concerts and recitals; assisting with equipment repairs and updates for the School of Music; enforcing performance hall rules.
Responsibilities
- Operate and support lights, sound, video, and audio recording equipment for music events.
- Set up and tear down stage equipment for concerts and recitals.
- Stage manage concerts and recitals as assigned.
- Assist with equipment repairs and updates for the School of Music.
- Enforce performance hall rules.
Qualifications
- Weekend and evening availability.
- Stage or technical theatrical experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of music recitals and ability to read music.
- Dependable with the ability to work a varied schedule.
- Ability to work independently within small and large teams.
- Some heavy lifting may be required.
- Confident, friendly, and comfortable working with faculty and other students.
