Nature & Purpose Of Position

To perform technical work as required with lights, sound, video and audio recording equipment for music concerts and recitals; setup/teardown of stage for concerts and recitals; stage managing concerts and recitals; assisting with equipment repairs and updates for the School of Music; enforcing performance hall rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support lights, sound, video, and audio recording equipment for music events.
• Set up and tear down stage equipment for concerts and recitals.
• Stage manage concerts and recitals as assigned.
• Assist with equipment repairs and updates for the School of Music.
• Enforce performance hall rules.

Qualifications

• Weekend and evening availability.
• Stage or technical theatrical experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of music recitals and ability to read music.
• Dependable with the ability to work a varied schedule.
• Ability to work independently within small and large teams.
• Some heavy lifting may be required.
• Confident, friendly, and comfortable working with faculty and other students.
