Two openings are available for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized educational support for students with visual impairments in a K-12 school setting. These contract roles for the current school year involve direct instruction and collaboration across diverse learning environments to help students access and succeed in the general education curriculum.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct and consultative services to students ages 321 with visual impairments Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to each students unique visual needs Instruct compensatory skills such as Braille, use of assistive technology, orientation and mobility (working alongside O&M specialists), and daily living skills Adapt classroom materials and provide guidance to teachers for accessible instruction Collaborate effectively with educational teams, families, and related service providers Travel between school sites as needed in an itinerant capacity Qualifications: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with TVI endorsement Experience supporting students who are blind or visually impaired, including those with additional disabilities Location: South Holland, Illinois This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational success and independence of students with visual impairments.
