Hybrid role to be based in Chicago, IL; Princeton, NJ; or New York, NY The Information Security Communications Specialist will reside in the US as part of the ZS Information Security team. The candidate will engage with Information Security leaders to share the Information Security story. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills and can adapt communication approaches to speak to technical or nontechnical audiences. The role will be responsible for managing content for CISO meetings, communications for senior leaders with external clients, communications for subject matter experts, introduction of Information Security projects, and collaboration with internal teams to support client initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and brand identity. What youll do
Assist with the development of an IS communications program that promotes security topics and drives uniformity and awareness internally and externally. Enhance organizational maturity through an annual communication plan based on risks, projects and upcoming events. Coordinate with ZS communications team for alignment and continuous improvement. Collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts to create compelling content for presentations, communications, and external discussions. Improve internal and external visibility of the CISO and leadership team; assist with external training and publications as needed. Manage various communication channels and create new internal sites as required (websites, social media platforms, newsletters, posts). Create and maintain an organized library of templates; keep material, newsletters, and surveys up to date. Monitor and analyze internal communications to ensure effectiveness and make channel/timing recommendations based on the plan. Track metrics of viewership and interactions with content. Select appropriate channels for content in collaboration with global communications. Engage with emerging trends in the security industry and incorporate best practices into communication strategies. What youll bring
Bachelors degree in communications, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in communications or content development; internal communications in a large organization (10,000+ employees) preferred. Strong communication experience supporting training, Information Security (IS) and/or IT. Experience with content creation and edits of training programs, IS content design, IS projects or programs, and stakeholder communications. Strong writing samples; 2-3 variations (Newsletters, PowerPoint, Blog posts, Articles, or Email). Proven experience developing and implementing corporate communication strategies. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex security concepts into clear messages. Proficiency in managing website content development and communication channels. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, proactive, and a team player with excellent communication and presentation skills. Demonstrates problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Perks & Benefits
