Key Responsibilities

Technical Skills:

  • You need to know a lot about accounting issues in the Media and Entertainment (M&E) sector. This includes things like how to record content costs, recognize revenue, and value creative work.
  • You should be good at solving difficult accounting problems and explaining your solutions clearly without needing much help from a partner.
  • Use U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) rules, and industry guidelines to improve our technical skills.
  • Create and lead training programs that focus on the specific accounting challenges in M&E and help everyone in the firm grow their knowledge.

Client Engagement & Project Management:

  • You will be in charge of all parts of client projects in the M&E field.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and be seen as the leader on your projects.
  • Keep clients informed about any issues and provide thoughtful solutions.
  • Write clearly and deliver excellent service to clients, helping increase billable hours.
  • Make sure Managers and Consultants are working effectively in the M&E practice.

Practice Growth & Business Development:

  • Help the practice grow by finding new clients and opportunities within the M&E industry.
  • Look for ways to help current clients and identify their needs.
  • Build a strong network of people in the M&E industry.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and boards to enhance our image.
  • Participate in hiring by interviewing candidates and recommending them for jobs as our M&E practice grows.

Compliance, Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Follow company rules, including submitting timesheets on time, and ensure the M&E team does the same.
  • Handle invoicing and collections responsibly.
  • Mentor your colleagues and encourage their professional development.
  • Lead by example: take responsibility for team mistakes, celebrate successes, and show strong work ethics.
  • Help the firm grow by leading new initiatives wherever possible.

Minimum Requirements
  • You must have a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification and a Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Commerce, along with 8 years of accounting experience.
  • (We will accept a 3-year degree from another country as the same as a Bachelors degree.)
  • Alternatively, you can also have a Masters Degree in the same fields and 8 years of accounting experience.
