Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in all aspects of M&E client engagements, taking charge of client projects and managing multiple clients concurrently.
Technical Skills
  • Have a solid understanding of accounting issues in the Media & Entertainment (M&E) sector, including content value, revenue recognition, and intellectual property valuation.
  • Solve complex accounting problems and clearly explain solutions with minimal guidance from a Partner.
  • Apply U.S. GAAP rules and industry guidelines to strengthen technical capabilities within the practice.
  • Create and lead special training programs focused on M&E accounting challenges to support firm growth.
Client Work & Project Management
  • Manage all aspects of client projects in M&E and handle multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Deliver high-quality client work and manage relationships; be seen by clients as the engagement lead.
  • Inform clients of issues and provide thoughtful, practical solutions.
  • Write clear client communications, track billable hours, and deliver excellent service.
  • Ensure Directors, Senior Managers, Managers, and Consultants are effectively utilized within the M&E practice.
Practice Growth & Business Development
  • Support practice growth by acquiring new clients and opportunities in the M&E industry.
  • Identify opportunities to expand work with existing clients.
  • Build a strong network with key individuals in the M&E industry.
  • Represent and promote the firm by participating in industry events, conferences, and M&E-related boards.
  • Assist with recruitment by interviewing candidates and referring them to the firm as the M&E practice grows.
Compliance, Leadership & Mentorship
  • Follow all policies, submit timesheets on time, and encourage the M&E team to comply.
  • Be responsible for invoicing and collections.
  • Support the professional growth of all staff by acting as a mentor.
  • Lead by example: take responsibility for team mistakes, celebrate successes, and demonstrate strong ethics and work habits.
  • Contribute to the firms growth by participating in important initiatives and community activities.
  • Help guide the practices future direction and participate in improvements.
Minimum Requirements
  • CPA and a Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Commerce, with 10 years of accounting experience. The employer will accept a 3-year foreign degree as the equivalent of a Bachelors degree.
  • Alternatively, a Masters Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Commerce with 8 years of accounting experience.
