Key Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments, adapting educational materials and techniques to meet individual needs. Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to integrate vision services into the broader educational program. Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records of student progress. Deliver approximately four 30-minute sessions per month to a student needing additional attention. Support the transition and continuity of services as the existing vision teacher prepares for retirement. Qualifications and Experience: Certification or experience working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired is preferred. Ability to manage a small caseload with individualized instructional strategies. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with educators, students, and families. Flexibility and commitment to a part-time schedule during the current school year.
