Position Overview

Position Overview: The Systems Engineer – Video Services is responsible for supporting and maintaining the County’s video conferencing and streaming infrastructure, with a focus on Cisco collaboration technologies. This role ensures continuous availability of video services for Commissioners’ Court and Probable Cause Court operations. The engineer plays a critical role in system configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and providing 24/7 support for video endpoints, recording systems, and livestream environments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and support the Cisco video conferencing environment and endpoints used for Probable Cause Court dockets and Zoom B2B Court communications.
  • Maintain and manage Cisco collaboration infrastructure including Call Manager, Meeting Server, Meeting Manager, Expressway-C/E Series, and video endpoints.
  • Manage PC Court recording archives, ensure data integrity, and monitor storage utilization.
  • Provide technical support for Commissioners Court live streaming via Swagit and coordinate with media teams and external vendors as needed.
  • Install and update the courtroom and meeting room systems including Microsoft and Dell updates.
  • Apply software updates to A/V devices including Logitech hardware.
  • Schedule and implement regular system maintenance and upgrades for Cisco collaboration software and hardware.
  • Provide technical guidance and occasional support to Voice Field Technicians.
  • Act as a backup for A/V architect in supporting Commissioners Courtroom.
  • Deliver 24/7 support for video conferencing services.

Education

  • Associate Degree or Higher

Experience

  • 5 years of hands-on experience with Cisco Call Manager, Expressway C/E, Meeting Server, and video conferencing systems.
  • 2 years of experience working with video endpoint devices.
