About the Role
The Vice President of Marketing will serve as a senior executive leader responsible for driving brand strategy, consumer engagement, and market growth for a leading food and consumer packaged goods organization. This role requires proven expertise in managing and scaling major food, grocery, or household aisle brands across national and global markets. The Vice President will oversee brand positioning, innovation, trade marketing, and digital engagement, while leading a high-performing marketing team to expand market share and strengthen category leadership. Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic brand and marketing plans across retail, grocery, and foodservice channels to strengthen brand presence and category leadership. Lead integrated marketing initiatives including digital, social media, e-commerce, and national advertising campaigns to drive consumer engagement and loyalty. Oversee trade marketing strategies to support sales growth, retail execution, and channel partnerships. Drive new product development and innovation strategies aligned with evolving consumer preferences and market trends. Analyze consumer insights, competitive activity, and category performance to guide brand strategy and investment decisions. Partner with sales, R&D, and operations teams to ensure cohesive go-to-market execution and brand positioning. Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing marketing organization that delivers on business growth objectives. Represent marketing leadership at the executive level, collaborating on long-term business strategy and corporate vision. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive marketing leadership experience in food, grocery, consumer packaged goods, or household brands. Proven track record leading marketing for major aisle brands across categories such as packaged foods, snacks, beverages, household products, or staples. Strong background in brand building, consumer marketing, and go-to-market execution in both retail and e-commerce channels. Demonstrated success managing multimillion-dollar marketing budgets and delivering measurable ROI. Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability and willingness to work on-site with the executive team. Desired Qualifications
Experience with top-tier brands in sectors such as packaged foods, snacks, beverages, or household goods. Background in managing innovation pipelines and launching new product categories. Strong analytical and strategic planning skills with experience using consumer insights to guide decisions. Established relationships with major retail and grocery partners. Experience scaling marketing strategies in both mature and growth-stage brands.
