Join to apply for the Senior Product Marketing Manager role at DigitalOcean. We are looking for a motivated, creative, and results-oriented self-starter to join our Developer Marketing team. This strategic team owns messaging and positioning for the entire company, drives the Go-To-Market strategy for all products, and works on accelerating product usage and revenue. This role will define how we communicate the value of DigitalOcean platform and our products to growing businesses relying on cloud computing services. You will have a deep understanding of DigitalOcean’s target customer base and own the positioning and messaging for the DigitalOcean platform. You will develop compelling content to help customers understand the value and drive marketing programs to spread the message globally. You will collaborate with cross functional teams including product management, sales, revenue marketing, brand, developer relations, and marketing programs. What You’ll Be Doing
Take to market key products aligned to developer products like Kubernetes and Application Platform; manage multiple projects and prioritize as needed. Define and execute GTM strategy with senior-level stakeholders across product and sales. Work with product teams to distill key functionality and benefits into crisp product marketing messages targeting technical personas. Develop product messaging, positioning, and detailed launch execution plans for successful GTM. Collaborate with Growth and Product teams to define programs (cross-sell / upsell) to drive meaningful product adoption. Partner with the revenue organization to help sales and solution architecture teams understand the value proposition and how to sell these products. Create enablement assets for sales, demand generation, and the partner channel. Apply knowledge of cloud infrastructure pricing and packaging to optimize product pricing tiers. Implement creative tactics for enhanced product launch traction and determine target business customers and use cases. Continuously test and refine messaging via web updates, landing pages, and targeted email campaigns. Craft an overall cloud platform narrative that resonates with developers and fitting business customers and highlights how DigitalOcean uniquely helps them. Create content for product pages, blogs, emails, social media, and press releases. Be the go-to person for the overall product and platform narrative, including events, keynotes, and customer/partner engagements. What We’ll Expect From You
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (computer science, engineering or mathematics); MBA is a plus. 7+ years of experience in technical product marketing or product marketing management. Experience with Kubernetes and developer platform products preferred. Understanding of the cloud landscape and ability to position products for business use cases. Research-oriented and analytical mindset using data to inform stakeholders and marketing tactics. Excellent communication skills with a track record navigating complex cross-functional environments and influencing outcomes with executives. Strong storytelling and writing skills.
