Soni's client is looking for a detail-oriented Contract Technical Writer with hands-on experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support business operations in a manufacturing or similar environment. This role will be key in creating clear, consistent, and compliant documentation across functions such as Sales, Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, and Management Control.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with subject matter experts to gather insights and translate them into structured, user-friendly SOPs, manuals, process maps, and training guides
  • Review and refine existing documentation for accuracy, clarity, and compliance
  • Develop templates and style guides to ensure consistency across all business documentation
  • Implement version control to manage updates and approvals
  • Support compliance, audit, and training initiatives through clear and effective documentation
  • Collaborate with training teams to ensure SOPs align with available learning materials
  • Document ERP workflows (e.g., SAP S/4 HANA) and system integrations to support digital transformation initiatives
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to map processes and capture workflows effectively

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of technical writing experience, preferably in a manufacturing or corporate setting
  • Proven experience writing SOPs, with samples available
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP S/4 HANA preferred) and process modeling tools (Visio, SAP Signavio, BPMN)
  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills with sharp attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and work cross-functionally
  • Skilled in process mapping, facilitation, and translating complex business operations into clear documentation

Compensation: $45 - $55/Hour
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
