Direct client opportunity for Senior Web Developer. Location: Austin, TX ( onsite ).
Responsibilities
- Perform web development work as a member of Information Technology (IT) Scheduled Releases team. Develop Java full stack with emphasis on front end implementation. Responsible for activities during all phases of the System Development Life Cycle including analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving software, data, hardware and reporting problems and troubleshooting system issues for internal and external clients. Develops and tests Web Applications that meet design specifications, including accessibility and usability requirements. Documents current processes, reviews written specification additions/modifications and creates test cases for submitted defects involving new and modified program policies. Analyze, design, and develop logical, structured programs and systems appropriate to customer needs which are well-documented programs and that may be maintained by others. Ensure adherence to program documentation and procedural standards, and management goals and objectives. Perform other duties as assigned to maintain operations.
Qualifications
- Experience requirements include: 4-7 years in EAP 8, Java OpenJDK 1.8 or above, Spring Batch 2.1.8, iText-2.1.5, Squirrel SQL Client; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x/7.x (RHEL); Red Hat CodeReady Studio 12.21.3.GA; migrating web content to RHEL 8; proficiency in web development; collaboration with web admins, Unix admins, and IT teams; content migration from legacy servers to current web servers; environment management and migration to RHEL 8; PHP development; proficiency with Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP; DB2 database; knowledge of web security best practices (OWASP, secure coding) and protections against SQL injection, XSS, CSRF; experience with government regulations/compliance; adherence to Style Guides and Standards for Web Admins in line with TWC standards; experience using GitHub or other repositories; experience with Visual Code Studio or similar tools.
