About the Role
Abnormal AI is seeking a
Senior Marketing Finance Manager
to join our high-impact Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role is critical in shaping our marketing investment strategy, ensuring that every marketing dollar delivers measurable value. You will be a strategic partner to Marketing Leadership, driving campaign-level ROI analysis, lead source performance evaluation, and cross-functional alignment with Marketing Operations. Your work will directly influence pipeline creation, revenue growth, and operational efficiency. As a senior leader, you will manage and mentor team members, elevate our financial planning processes, and bring a data-driven perspective to marketing decision-making.
Responsibilities
Serve as the
primary strategic finance partner
for the Marketing Leadership Team, influencing budget priorities, spend allocation, and investment strategy.
Lead the
annual and quarterly marketing planning process , covering spend, pipeline targets, resource needs, and ROI expectations.
Develop, implement, and own
a comprehensive ROI measurement framework that evaluates marketing performance by campaign, channel, and lead source.
Partner with Marketing Operations to
connect financial data with marketing analytics , enabling real-time performance monitoring and optimization.
Drive
scenario planning and investment modeling
for new marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with top-line revenue and profitability goals.
Oversee the
forecasting process for marketing-driven pipeline
and revenue, improving accuracy through robust data models.
Establish and lead recurring
Marketing Performance Reviews
with executives, integrating financial, operational, and attribution insights.
Build, mentor, and develop a small team, fostering a culture of analytical rigor, collaboration, and business partnership.
Continuously seek and execute
efficiency improvements
in marketing spend, process, and forecasting accuracy.
Must Haves
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
7+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with at least 4 years in Marketing Finance or Marketing Operations financial analysis.
Proven expertise in campaign-level and channel ROI analysis, including attribution modeling.
Strong understanding of lead source economics and their impact on pipeline and revenue.
Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable business insights.
Demonstrated success in strategic business partnering with senior marketing leaders.
Excellent communication skills, with experience influencing at the C-suite level.
Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with experience managing high-performing teams.
Advanced modeling skills and fluency in financial forecasting tools and BI platforms.
Nice to Have
Experience in cybersecurity or SaaS industries, especially in high-growth environments.
Familiarity with advanced marketing attribution models and multi-touch attribution tools.
Experience in private companies at Series C stage or beyond.
Understanding of digital marketing metrics (e.g., CAC, LTV, conversion rates) and their integration into financial planning.

Base salary range: $178,500 — $210,000 USD
