Chicago, IL – Hybrid (3 days/week in office)
We’re seeking a Head of Awareness Marketing to drive brand differentiation, awareness, consideration, and equity. You’ll develop and implement integrated brand campaigns across digital, traditional, social, and emerging media, and manage the brand’s reputation and messaging across all touchpoints. You’ll help shape our distinctive point of view and voice within financial marketing.
As part of the marketing leadership team, you’ll report to the Chief Marketing Officer and help shape the strategic direction of our growing company.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive brand and advertising strategies that differentiate us in a competitive space
Define brand voice, messaging architecture, and brand strategy that resonates with self-directed traders and investors
Drive brand content strategy across PR, partnerships, and owned channels to build credibility and reach
Partner with strategy, performance, and marketing operations teams to create content supporting acquisition, engagement, and retention
Develop community-building strategies that foster brand loyalty and advocacy
Launch creative partnerships and collaborations to expand reach
Enable rapid decision-making and execution by building influence networks and removing blockers
Build compelling business cases for strategic initiatives and secure necessary resources
Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation
Navigate regulatory requirements and compliance considerations in financial services marketing
Qualifications
MBA required (marketing, business, or related field)
10+ years of brand or marketing strategy leadership experience, preferably in trading, investing, D2C financial services, fintech, or closely related industry
5+ years of experience building and leading high-performing teams of 5 or more
Experience with companies of 250+ employees
Experience managing a marketing budget of at least $10M
Proven track record of building and scaling consumer brands
Strong focus on moving key business metrics through brand initiatives
Expertise in creating content strategies that drive engagement and education
Proactive, resourceful go-getter with a balance of analytical and creative mindset
Ability to balance short-term needs with sustainable growth strategies
Willingness to innovate and experiment with new approaches
Excellent cross-functional collaboration and systems thinking
Talent development and team-building abilities; can inspire and guide others
Ability to navigate a matrixed organization and influence outcomes without direct authority

Salary Salary Range:
Starting at $160,000 This is an estimated range. The actual salary offered will be based on the candidate's level of experience and qualifications.
