Architecture and Design Compliance Manager

to join its growing team. This role serves as the critical link between design, engineering, and construction—ensuring every plan is accurate, compliant, and permit-ready. You’ll manage a small drafting team, coordinate outsourced partners, and serve as Architect of Record for single-family projects while overseeing approvals for attached and multifamily homes. The ideal candidate is a detail-driven professional with residential architecture experience who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a small drafting/design team; set CAD standards to ensure accuracy and minimize field changes. Manage outside drafting/architecture partners to balance workload during peak times. Review and approve lot-specific construction documents for accuracy, IRC compliance, and municipal regulations. Oversee cabinet layouts, kitchen/bath drawings, and integration of buyer-selected structural/design options. Coordinate permit packages through municipal review; respond to comments and maintain approval timelines. Collaborate with surveying engineers on grading, utilities, and setbacks. Work with third-party structural engineers on details; sign/seal single-family plans and coordinate sealing of attached/multifamily projects. Maintain and improve the digital plan library, advancing processes and tools to streamline production. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field preferred. Licensed Architect in Missouri or actively on track for licensure with a certificate of authority. 3+ years of residential architecture or construction documentation experience. 1+ year of supervisory or team leadership experience. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or comparable CAD/BIM software. Strong knowledge of IRC and St. Louis-area building codes. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
