Senior Content Manager, The Digital Project Manager (USA) at Black & White Zebra. This full-time role leads the content program for The Digital Project Manager, our flagship publication for delivery leaders, leveraging AI to work smarter, deliver faster and lead better in fast-moving tech teams. Base pay range: $110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities)
Lead cross-channel content strategy and roadmap: Own the content roadmap, deciding what we create, update, and optimize across channels based on performance data, business goals, and audience needs. Extend stories across editorial, podcasts, newsletters, video, social, and events—repurposing content for maximum impact. Evolve editorial methodology to align with our mission to help readers future-proof their organizations. Ground decisions in SEO, user feedback, competitive research, data sources, and emerging audience needs—especially around AI and the future of project delivery Elevate content quality, innovation, and testing: Oversee site-wide content quality and clarity. Write and contribute first-person content on high-priority topics, contribute to interviews, podcasts, and digital PR opportunities, and scale new formats—interactive tools, visual storytelling, surveys, and beyond—that engage readers. Surface emerging reader needs by talking to users, testing tools, and spotting opportunities before they appear in SEO data, with a focus on AI topics Embed and scale AI-powered content systems: Integrate AI across the content workflow—from templates to publishing and optimization—and refine processes to scale responsibly. Coach editors to participate in earned media and thought leadership efforts Grow and empower a high-performing content team: Manage and mentor editors and contributors, provide editorial development, and foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and experimentation at the forefront of AI innovation and content leadership Your Skillset Includes
5–7+ years in organic content strategy, editorial leadership, or content marketing with a track record of scaling programs Strong background in project management with experience using tools like Asana, Jira, Wrike, Trello, ClickUp, and managing cross-functional projects Proven ability to manage teams and publish high-impact content at scale with strong editorial judgment Deep knowledge of SEO, content UX, and content operations aligned with business goals Advanced experience with AI-assisted content production, including prompt design and workflow tuning Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall in real-world environments Strong research, interviewing, and storytelling skills; ability to simplify complex concepts Proficiency with GA4, Ahrefs, Airtable, WordPress Excellent cross-functional communication and project management Curiosity about future of project management and helping others adapt Nice To Haves
Experience contributing expert commentary or appearing in thought leadership content Familiarity with PR/media collaboration Background in content UX, accessibility, or conversion-oriented design Salary Statement
This full-time position is remote and offers an annual base salary in the range of $110,000 to $140,000 USD. The range reflects skills, knowledge, and experience for USA-based candidates. Seniority level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and evaluation of education, experience, and market data. Salaries may vary for candidates outside the USA or at different seniority levels. Full-time employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. About Us
